Our first overnight was in Narita and after an early wake up I took a walk to visit Naritasan Temple just 10 minutes from the Richmond Hotel. Incredibly peaceful.

The Hokuriku line is New since 2015 and opens up this region with speedy transport.

Iiyama High school is classified as a Super Science High school and has some great specialised programs. We visited several classes and got the feel of this great school.
