Hello!
You've found your way to our authentic travel blog. All of the locations and stories are genuine and you won't find any sponsored content; every place, restaurant, and attraction has been personally visited by myself and my family. We sleep in dorms, budget motels, hotels and we test travel passes to see if they really do save money. We do it just like you would - because, like you, we're real travelers looking to see the world and hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
Growing up in New Zealand I have always been a big traveler. My first trip was to the United States with my family when I was nine years old and after travelling in a caravan for six months ended up staying another two years. After study as is typical for New Zealanders I did my OE and headed to Europe for holiday ski work and then on to England after that. Regular trips away both domestic and abroad fed my interest in people, communities, food and culture.
Another of my passions is Japan, it's people, culture and customs. I have had opportunity to live and work both in Kobe and Tokyo and the delights of this country continue to amaze me, so much so that I regularly visit to explore new cities, eat delicious food and make new friends.
My mission with this website is to inspire visitors to travel to new places and step off the beaten path to see places that the locals might visit.
